But I’m the one who went bungee jumping…

Posted by Franklin on July 13th, 2004

We were in a grocery store, Ree and myself. It was your typical, not very clean store, but if I remember correctly, you could overlook a beautiful scene of nature (mountains?). As we were checking out, this overlook became dark mountains with frost and clouds all over them. I looked again and the scene was of a city somewhat out of the Lord of the Rings on the mountains. It was very intriguing to Ree and Sharon, so they plunged over the stone banister from where we stood and jumped from a height of about 10 – 15 feet. Landing safely, they jumped again, this time the drop was several hundred feet. I panicked as Sharon jumped first. I thought she would certainly die, when I noticed a lady below catch her. Ree jumped after that, but the wind seemed to catch her and she swung way out to the left. It seemed as though the lady below (now having the look of an angel, with a whitish cape/ parachute around her) would not be able to save Ree, but the lady managed to hook her with a cable and fly with Sharon and Ree to the safety of a tall tower with barbed wire around the top of it. It didn’t seem ideal, but at least Ree was safe.

As I turned to talk to Jeanne about whether or not we would have to rent a helicopter to rescue them, Ree came in the door. We were elated to see her…..
