Baby sitting and apartment hunting

In the first part, I was really mad at Franklin. We had just finished a major event (like the Feast or something), and Franklin and I were getting ready to enjoy some well earned R&R - but then Franklin went and promised our neighbors from down the hall that we would babysit their 2 extrememly rambunctious kids for a week. I was so furious. I was litterally screaming at him.

In the second part, my brother Tom and I were looking for an apartment in Jerusalem. We looked at the Jerusalem Gold, which wasn’t a hotel, but an apartment bloc. We went into the manager’s first level apartment, and marvelled that it was somehow beachfront property. You could see the wave breaking just outside the window. Unfortunately, we later noticed that there was also a set of train tracks right outside, and the trains often parked in front of the building, completely blocking off the beach view.

Tom and I decided that we didn’t really like the Jerusalem Gold, so we decided to look elsewhere. We got on the train, and noticed for the first time that the tracks actually went underneath the apartment building - but when it went under, it became more like a roller-coaster, picking up speed and swooping around turns. It was great fun.

I was aboard a Federation star ship that was working on a joint project with another ship. A tragic accident happened aboard the other ship, leaving most of the crew injured - physically the injuries were mild, but everyone aboard the ship was left mentally retarded. On the other ship we had some tough decisions to make. We decided that we should continue our project, and that we would re-teach the crew members from the second ship how to do some of the simple jobs that had to be done aboard the second ship. My job was to retrain a pretty blonde girl who had lost the use of her right arm. She was really slow, but she could learn the steps to her job (which involved a huge, copy-machine looking piece of equipment) by rote. This worked well unless somthing went wrong (or she messed up), and then I had to transfer back to her ship to get things started again.

I was inside a religious couple’s apartment, and I looked out the window into the park outside their home, and there was Amos. I was just sure it was him. How could this be? I remember having him put to sleep - did the vet lie to us somehow? I opened the window and called to him, and he came up to the window. Yep, it was Amos. He looked just like I remembered him, in pain and a little panicky. I gave him some water through the window. I was afraid that if I left the window and went into the park, he’d run off while I wasn’t looking.

Then, I was living next door to a young couple. I knew that the husband was abusing the wife, and I spent a lot of time trying to get the wife to run away, but he was too clever, and she was too scared.
