Another crazy week at the Linker household.
Chloe is in heat. This happens twice a year, and it is like living with a rabid wolverine. People are afraid to visit. When she isn’t terrorizing our friends, Chloe sits on her bed chewing her own legs and making pitiful noises. I think we’d better go ahead and have her spayed.
On Monday night, we had a surprise shower for our friend Nicole who is getting married in June in the US. She and Tony, her Armenian fiancee, are going to Hawaii for their honeymoon, so we had a nice hawaii theme going. She got loads of great presents. Our house still looks like a giant Tiki Bar. Pictures coming soon.
This weekend Franklin and I got a sewing lesson from our oh-so-accomplished friend Sharon. Franklin made an oven mit and hemmed a pair of pants, and I made a giant floor pillow from Damascus silk (never mind that buying the silk and stuffing cost more than just buying a pre-made pillow in the first place). Yeehaw, we sure are getting domestic.
It is insanely windy outside, and the weather is unseasonably cold. We’ve even had some rain - glad I haven’t cleaned the windows yet. In Israel, if you wait until after the rainy season to clean the windows, you only have to do it once a year.
More later
