Ah life in the Linker household, never a dull moment.
Since my last post, a number of significant things have happened. For one thing, the icej.org website has been completely revamped and updated. This was the project that got me promoted to webmaster at the Embassy, and I’m glad that phase one is now officially over. Hop over to the site and check it out, then come back here and post encouraging comments. If you don’t like the site, I don’t want to hear about it. : )
We just finished with the Embassy’s Streams in the Desert worship conference. As my mother was the tour organizer, and I like to weasle my way into any project that comes out of the ICEJ’s music department, I managed to go with the tour to the Dead Sea and Galillee. We had a great time, but I missed Franklin terribly. Reports have come back to me that he was mopey and worked late every night I was gone. Combining that with the fact that the house was spotless and he even bought me flowers, I’m thinking he missed me too.
However, the most awesome thing by far that has happened over the past month is (drumroll please) that Franklin has finished his first guitar! Yes indeed, the Linker Custom ‘52 Telecaster has been born - the first of many guitars yet to come. Franklin is also busily building a workshop in the basement, and is amassing the necessary tools for his new trade. He is pretty chuffed about the whole thing, and so am I.
Sorry for the dry, newsy post, but I’m in a dry, newsy mood. I hope to post pictures and something more fun in the near future.
