Did you miss us? Does anyone still check this site for up to the minute details about Linker goings on? Have you been wallowing in suspense all these long months with nary a word as to our well-being?
As I try to remember all the things that have happened to us since last we posted, it seems that there’s not much new to report. Mostly weeks of Embassy work separated by weekends of pancakes and guitar building. Franklin just finished a new neck for the guitar he’s had since he was 16, and he’s got a constant stream of people asking him for repair work.
Early in March, we participated in shir1, a nationwide youth worship event. The idea is to have these events every few months, and to have them in typical Israeli nightclubs. The first event was in Haifa, at the “City Hall†club. It was amazing to see the place flooded with enthusiastic young people singing their hearts out in worship to God. The club owner, manager, and workers absolutely loved it, and plan to come to the next event (which will be at The Barby in Tel Aviv in April).
My mother is here now, with a tour. We had a chance to go on the last tour, where we went around the country to all of Israel’s borders to pray. It was wonderful to get a chance to take a break from the daily grind and see the corners of the land. It’s bizarre, but we do indeed love Israel’s dust (Ps 102:14).
We’re going to be in the states for the entire month of April – come see us! New pictures in the gallery forthcoming.
